Thankis, that's not a bad idea. I won't be pulling pots too often hence I don't want anything permanent. I have 6 pots and will probably pull them two to 3 times an outing and probably only go out a few days a month during the season. I don't see me using this more than 20 days a out of the year.

I unscrewd all screws from the base but the pedestal won't budge. Didn't want to force it risk taking a piece of the boat with it. Are there more to it or might be just sealant?

@Andy is your anchor a 22lb? I think I figured out why mine isn't dropping. I have a claw anchor and I think the way the arm is designed with a 90 degree bend, it doesn't give it the ability to just roll off. Just tested a 14lb Delta anchor and it almost want to drop. Thinking of jumping to a 22lb
