I'm considering getting a new prop for my 1801/yam 115 4s. I believe it's got 14x19 3 blade currently. Stainless steel but it's dinged up pretty good. I'd appreciate any input about your experience with this boat. What do you think about ss versus aluminum?

I was milling around the same idea. I would get the same model prop you have now and keep the other one as a spare. On our boats you don't need a high performance stainless steel prop.
THere was a link here about determining the right pitch for the recommended RPM's on your engine. It is determined in calm seas runningthe throttle wide open. THe Yamaha techs will help you if you call them with your motor's ID number.

Getting the boat back from the marina on the 19th. :D
