Boat Wanted 1996 23 DVCC Rebuild

Saw a 1996 23 DVCC for sale and thought about making an offer, but just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Boat is in bad shape and after reading the post here about all the problems of a boat that old I would assume this one would be the same. Probably needs everything from new tanks, deck, maybe electrical and for sure an engine. Just don’t want to commit to that kind of project. Opinions on the sweet spot of year model right now that the money would equal out and just pay more up front for a newer boat without so much work needed. I know the market is tight right now but I’m not in a rush. BTW previous owner of that particular model and looking for another. Pic is of the boat I used to own.
