2013 f225xa thermostat replacement

Hello,
I have a 2014 2320 with a f225xa. I get an overheat alarm after an hour of trolling, I shutdown the engine and the alarm clears. oils good, tell tale good. looking to change the thermostats. I cant find any info online. Help if you can.

M2cw change the full water pump assembly and both thermostats

Invest in a Yamaha genuine shop manual. Look for Ebay or online like SIM. I order parts and fluids from SIM and have great service.

Maybe pull the pressure release valve, at same as new thermostats . It is located in the mid section and inspect and clean it
Most likely is fine and can be reused but part of coolant system

Thanks for the tips, impeller was fine. Found one t stat stuck open and the other not looking much better. Replaced both, problem resolved. Not a simple task, required quite a few dis connections of other components to gain access. ie: solenoid, temp element, fuel injector, as well as various cable supports.

Thermostats, full water pump and pressure valve were replaced but my motor is older and the valve was original. It looks ok but still replaced it

Running in salt water, you should replace the impeller/full water pump kit(which ever is needed), and the thermostats every 2 years or 200 hrs or so if you don’t want any problems from them. JMO.
