Hi I have a 03 2120 pilot house and it has two bilge pumps in it. When i turn the battery switch on the pump in the cabin goes on? It is also hook up to a float switch. the pump will not turn off unless i turn the battery switch off. Any ideas? I am thinking the float switch on that pump maybe bad?
Thanks Chuck

Yes, probably the float switch? Have you tried manually manipulating the float switch with the power on? You should easily be able to verify if it is working properly or not.

Yes... Do this.... The float is sticking because it's dirty and lack of use.

Hi Guys yes it was a bad float switch change it out and both pumps work thanks.

Consider replacing that mercury float switch with a solid state one.
I use Water Witch 101 solid state switches.
