2320 225 or 250 Yamaha?

New to this form, and to Parker. Looking to purchase a 2320 soon, Seen a few out there with 225, and a few with 250's Is there a noticeable difference in overall performance? Any info appreciated! Thank you.

Are you purchasing a new or used 2320? If new, get the 300, if used get the 250 for sure. The older 200, 225, 250's are the same block but the 250 is different than its siblings in 2 ways. First, VCT (Variable Cam Timing) second I think is the throttle body or intake. Someone else can correct me on that part. If it was me getting a 2320 then hands down I would get the 250. If your getting a new one, go for the 300. IMHO, there is nothing worse than an underpowered boat. It's not just about speed, it's also about handling loads when you have them. Good luck

I have a 2014 with the 300. Highly recommend it. At least the 250 love the boat it tops out at 50 cruises at 33 and 4300rpm.

Your a lucky man. Love those new offshore series and the 2320 of course. That 300 is lighter than my 06 225. If I was buying a new 2320 it would have that 300 on it. No doubt the 250 will get the job done, and done well, but if you are already spending that kind of cash on a new one you might as well go all the way.

Thanks for the 411, Figured, Wish I could step up for a new one! looking at used 2008 or newer figured the more the better, as goes much in life! Figure can't find any 300's out there these owners must have done there home work. So I'll continue the search for just the right one! Thanks All!
