Hi , New to the forum and joined t get advice on repowering my 2510 DV,Currently I have a pair of 200 hp 1995 Johnson Ocean Runners (cement mixers!!) on it and its time to upgrade. Was thinking of using 150-4 strokes Yamaha or Mercs. Loved the performance of the 200'S and worrie the decrease in HP will be a let down. Not looking for a speed boat but the kid in us all likes a little top end on those flat days, also the quick planning is a plus. Any feedback /recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks :?:

Twin Suzukis ... go w/ timing chains, not belts. Spend more time on the water, not in the shop ....

I've got twin Yamaha F-150's on my 2510 DV. I could not be more satisfied. A few weeks ago I put 4 divers, dive gear, and 12 steel scuba tanks on her. I had all the tanks loaded in racks against the transom and could definitely tell I had a load. A pair of 200's would have been nice for that trip, however, other than a slower than normal hole shot, the 150's performed flawlessly.

The More I work On Yamaha's.....[mainly the Big one's].....The more I LOVE My Suzuki's.

They are just plain easier to service.
