Well after reading all the forums, I decided to buy and install permatrim on our 2520. The difference is night and day. The boat has no where near as much stern squat when throttling up, it gets on plane much faster as well. While at cruise, ay 4800rpm I can now run 32mph. Before I was only getting about 30. Adjusting trim on engine provides significant adjustment in bow attitude, and trim tabs work as they should. I was planning on doing trim tabs at some point, I however may have changed my mind. Going offshore for wreck fishing tomorrw. I suspect I will be pleased as well. Go ahead and spend the money. Well worth every penny!
