Bryan, some of the squat is from the speed. 18 mph and slower and it sits the stern down.

The I/O will generally do it anyway as the trim is different than an outboard.

I had my wife take photos today of a friend's boat. I'll get the good photos of mine done this summer. I had some that were too light where I almost was in the cockpit of the boat she was on photographing me, and some where I was throwing waves.

Here's a couple of shots of friend's boats from today and yesterday that run as well as a 25' Parker, as I've been out trying to stay with them.

A 26' Wellcraft cuddy cabin has a Volvo 7.4 L and runs well.

An older 268 Chris Craft with twin Crusader inboards.

A cousin has a 21' Seaswirl walkaround with a Volvo inboard that really goes with its light weight.

Here's a couple more from yesterday that weren't aimed into the sun and faded out.

cbigma,

I had posted that one shot of the boat coming at you a while back. someone also recommended sending it to Robin. I did and Robin thanked me for it and said it was a good picture.

It was a lucky shot as even with the Image Stabilizer digital camera it is hard to snap a picture in focus with the boat coming at you at 22kts into a good chop.

My wife must take good pictures. The first season we had the boat I did some drive bys while she was on another pier. Whitewater Marine of NY used that picture as an advertisement for a couple of seasons.

Dana,

I love that green hull. I considered it when we bought ours. I think the dealer talked me out of it because of the chance of color fade. Your color still looks great.

With the flag your boat looks like a downeast picnic boat.

This thread is awesome, must be killing the guys on dial-up. :D

Here are a few better anchor shots from this weekend. No running ones yet.
I raced a go fast boat this weekend and almost beat him. His comment was "That things fast for a fishing boat"8) 8) 8)

Brian, I followed that 26' Wellcraft into Boston Harbor and it was choppy and confused with so much boat traffic and it is a funnel as the waters are narrow. A picnic passed me going the other way running flat and maintaining speed.

I was up and down in throttle at times. Difference of a couple hundred thousand!!

Some of the shots with the flag look good. I put it out when I get to the dock even if we don't head out. Doesn't click with my wife; I have to do it almost every time.

The green hull on newer boats are very good. For my age the gelcoat didn't have as much UV protection so I have to work at it. Usually the camera makes it look better than it is!

Here's another one from yesterday, a bit washed out in color. Shows a flag in a profile close shot moving along.

Here is one from the side again at the slip, but you can see some of a new Eastern Flybridge boat behind it, about 32 feet.

John - according to the fuel managment guage, anywhere from 1.4 - 2 mpg.

Fuellevellow - Nice Boat!! Always glad to see another 2530 as you know we have some beautiful ones on the site. Are you on the west coast? Looks like it with that bow rail.

Yes I am on the west coast (So Cal)

Question looking for new props any of you 2530 owners have good luck with new props? Any recommendations? Getting 5500 rpms at this point looking for something nice and shinny and that will work well and get 6000 rpms. The black stock props I have now are cavatating (sp?) on the left motor in rough seas and are rusty.

Any one got anymore good pics from this season?

Here are some from a great 4 day weekend we spent on the 2530 :D :D

Pelagic... I didn't realize that you had drop curtains on your 2530.
Best of both worlds! 8)

I was thinking of starting a "2530 registry" thread to get all 2530 owners to post pics. It was an idea that Dale had to have a section for each model. What do you think?

I think it has it's pros' and cons. The advantage would be that all owners of that model could share ideas relative to that model. The con would be that if you didn't have that model, you're not likely to look or post to that thread and I have gotten a LOT of good ideas from guys that own models OTHER THAN mine.
