On my Parker 23DVCC I currently have the factory 3 blade ( 15 1/4 - 17 )that came with my 250 4-stroke Yamaha. I was wondering what replacement to a 4 blade (pitch and size) I would start with to achieve the following:

I know I'll lose some top end, but I'm looking to be able to stay on plane at lower speeds as well as better hole shot.

Any Suggestions?

Might need a 19 pitch Rev4 with the 250. Whatever pitch you have now with the black Yamaha 3 blade, use the same with the Merc Rev4...this is assuming you're reaching full RPM with Yama prop. If you will raise the motor a hole you might even gain a MPH or so. You'll certainly cut down on wake, I did.

"grouperjim" has a heavier 23DV cabin boat w/250-4 and runs the 17 pitch Rev4. I have 225-4 23DVCC and use the 17.

Of course, if we had Suzukis with the special lower unit we could turn props maybe 2 feet in diameter!
