Curious if anyone has changed or modified the hatch on the bow for the anchor rode. This is a source of bilge water, and I'm looking to seal it up. Have a windlass such that I don't need to get in there often and do not have the rode hanging through the notched hole.

Thanks

It won't stop all the water because of the wet rode coming in from your anchor, plus you'll restrict access to your rode. I put a rubber plug in the hole in the bottom and drilled "carefully" from the floor of the locker out the side of the starboard bow, and added a stainless vent.....works fine now and have a dry bilge. Why Parker doesn't do this is beyond me. PERKO
