Wanted to see if anyone has first hand experience with a jackplate on a 23SE? I'm all too familar with jackplates, but my concern is that Parker does not endorse the use of a jackplate, and says it will void my hull warranty if I install one. They say the transom is NOT designed or engineered to hold a jackplate.

I have a 2005 Parker 21SE on which I installed a jack plate after talking with an engineer at Parker, who recommended installing a backing plate (which I bought through the Parker dealer for about $190.00) and recommended Bob's Machine Shop (www.bobsmachine.com). I had it installed this spr[ng and it works great.
