Being one to not like drilling holes and making perminent modifications without giving it much thought I opted to use a suction cup mounted hook/rig holder. After one season I noticed the suction cups were starting to turn orange and got tacky. When I removed them this is what I found. They must have degraded in the sun and reacted to the gelcoat leaving a bleached looking mark that is impossible to remove. The ones I used inside did not do this.

Suction cups...well...suck. I got tired of my sodas, coffee, and beer getting dumped on the deck when the cups let go. So, I replaced the cups with 3" wide velcro. They never let go.

I have a thread in the Projects forum about the conversion.
