Just got off the phone with Robin Parker (enroute back to Beaufort), who asked that I post the following request:
First:
Rep. Arthur Williams from Beaufort County, who authored H2167, and who stood steadfast while being hammered by Governor Easley and Speaker Hackney et. al., took a lot of heat for our benefit. Had he not taken that stand, we would have lost night towing or would have had a 0.04 BAC imposed upon us. ALL OF US NEED TO THANK HIM PERSONALLY IF POSSIBLE.
Please - send a PERSONAL email or make a phone call to him IMMEDIATELY thanking him for what he did for us. A regular US Mail letter wouldn't hurt either.

Second:
Both Sen. Clark Jenkins and Sen Marc Basnight REALLY pushed H2167 through the House this morning. If any of you heard Sen. Basnight via the audio link, he gave a very convincing speech in favor of H2167. Sen. Jenkins supported this bill as if it were his own. We should all send a personal email of thanks to each of these gentlemen; their support has been key to H2167 all the way.
