I'm thinking of having a cockpit cover made. Just trying to keep leafs out and keep it cleaner. Something that would attach to the two brackets that connect the rod holder to the hardtop and/or straps up to the handrails on the hard top. I have a walkaround but u pilot house guys could do the same. Sides would attach to the two midship cleats and the back would attach to the two eyes on the transom. Kind of like a big triangle. I'm not trying to have it water tight - just want to keep 90% of the junk out. Don't need it this fall maybe have it built over the winter. Id only use it a few weeks in the fall and a few more weeks in the spring. Just wile the boat is sitting uncovered out of the water. I know it could be damaged in one good blow but was wondering if anyone else tried this.

I was looking into custom covers, but the cost was $2500 average. Then I looked at a Budge cover. Could cover whole boat for 500+. But I never pulled the trigger. I'm interested in your concept. That would make a lot of sense. Keep us posted on your search.
