I recently noticed a squealing sound when lowering my engine. It happens right after the two smaller cylinders take return stroke and lasts a short duration. I am not sure if it is cavitation or binding. Anyone else have this?

Grease the ROLLERS that contact trim/tilt rams using blue-colored waterproof synthetic grease. All OB makers sell it and it ALL comes from the same factory, but that sold by OMC/Bombardier as "Triple Guard" will cost you the least out-of-pocket, as any Jap branded motor charges 2-3X the price for the same amount :| ...

Thanks, that actually was my first step when I noticed the sound, a little submarine grease (Termaline) to the cylinder ends. The noise didn't go away so I was thinking air in the cylinders. Before responding a few minutes ago, I added more grease to the contact buttons and the noise is no more! Thanks for the help! Another reason I love this site.
