I have a 2300 cc Looking for ideas to replace the plastic sliding doors on the console box. The problem I have is that when you mount 2 displays in this box, and open the slides you are covering one or the other with 2 panels and greatly reducing the clarity. (no the answer is not move them to the overhead box). Does anyone know of or have a lead on a door that would lift up and slide in above the displays ?? Need to replace with some sort of door that can lock and keep out the elements as well. :?: Thanks

I seem to remember someone here who replaced the sliding doors with a single piece of lexan that swung out and over the top (laying flat).
This is an item that several members have solved using several different methods on the CC consoles.
You might want to search the "Projects" area for solutions or ideas.

What if you were to take the sliding doors out and cover the hole with a piece if 1/4" starboard, then flush mount your gear?
Flush mounting should take care of your security concerns.
