I searched and didn't find what I was looking for, so here goes.
I have long had a visceral hatred of hydraulic oil on boats. This probably comes from my sailing days with hydraulic backstays, boomvangs, and even a transmission that used to blow o-rings all the time. anything hydraulic eventually leaks. Period.
That said, I have Boat Leveler trim tabs that have been leaking for years no matter how much I tighten clamps, etc. This winter I decided to convert to Lenco actuators. I bought the conversion kit from Bennett tabs hoping they would work, but they appear to be longer. I could simply change the mounting position, but does anybody have any experience with this?
Thanks!
