Plus it is also diesel and more so an I/O because 'as is' the Yamaha 4-strokes outboards won't meet the tough new EU emission standards without adding catalytic converters. FWIW the Evinrude E-Tec meets this same standard as is.

IMHO Yam had to do this to gain some foothold in the European boating market and we know how prevalent diesels are in the EU.
 
I'm still looking at that 2530 with the Yanmar in the 'For Sale' area with boat-lust.
If it were only a true inboard with a pocket like the Knot Many... :wink:
 
Yamaha will probably require a minor dealer service every 20 hours and major every 50 hours on them. Each service will cost 3 months pay for the minors and your first born for the majors :lol: :lol: :lol:
