Draining the Cockpit

Every time my son cleans the boat (a 21' DVSC) he complains about how the water won't drain out of the cockpit. Its a 2005 with a splash board. Any ideas how to get the water to drain better?

I have the same boat, and same problem. I was thinking of drilling some holes in the splash guard. Or maybe just removing it. It would be nice to have it drain quicker, but then again, its nice to have an excuse for another beer while I wait for it to drain! :wink:
