I would love to see some photos and hear some ideas for flyrod storage on Parker 1801's. I am planning on putting 2 or 3 vertical holders (Bluewater or Ifly) on the side of the console, but I am curious as to how some of you have custom rigged horozontal storage under the gunwales as the standard storage down there is pretty poor.

I removed the toe-boards and aluminum rod-holders that came standard on my 1801. I then used the material to fabricate "brackets" which have hooked ends and notches for bungee cords. The bungee cords secure the rods to the brackets by stretching them over the rods. I can lay up to 4 rods on each side of the boat and have had no problems thus-far. I made my own fly rod holders out of PVC with elongated slots for the reels and gimbal notches I can place the rods in my leaning post's rocket launchers this way.
