My boat ( '89 25 SportCabin) collects water in the forward bilge and it doesn't drain out when on plane as some have mentioned.
I want to install a forward bilge pump, the hand pump or the drill pump gets tedious. I've pumped up to 5 gallons out after a week of heavy rain and not tending to it.
I have a spare 800 GPH Rule with a switch but not sure where to put it, seems like the V-berth floor drain is at about the lowest spot.
The plan is to cut a hole for a 8" deck plate and locate the pump under there. The hose would run thru the vberth storage locker and exit midway up the hull.
Has anyone done this project? Any advice or concerns?
Could someone supply some pics of the factory install I could use as a guide?
Thanks,
Steve
