Fuel Flow Sensor

I'm in the process of swapping out my old Lowrance FF/Plotter for a Hummingbird. I have a Lowrance fuel flow sensor installed on my old system. Can I use my Lowrance fuel flow sensor on my new Hummingbird system? Or do I need a sensor specifically made by Hummingbird?

Is the fuel flow sensor part of a NMEA 2000 network? If so, it’ll probably work. If it’s proprietary Lowrance equipment, it’ll most likely need to be replaced.

In addition you may loose the ability to update/calibrate it if needed. Thats usually proprietary to the manufacture.
