Fuel Pumps

Has anyone with a 5.0 GM/305 has fuel pump issues.These are the ones that have a low pressure and high pressure pumps.The boat is starting and then shuts down,whinning is loud.has anyone diagnose these pumps to determine what to replace.

I dont have this motor. Are they getting voltage ? Can the fuel pressure be checked? Does it have fuel or clogged?

Brent I have power to the pumps.The engine starts but then stops.The pumps make a loud whinning sound.New pumps are around 900.00.Can they be rebuilt

could check fuel pressure and remove an fuel injector and bump the start and see if fuel comes out

Can the low and high pressure fuel pumps be replaced or do you have to buy the whole unit which is $1000.00.A Volvo parts man told me you have to buy both the high and low as one unit,but I see just the low and high being sold as a separate unit.Does anybody ever just change the low pressure pump
