Furuno FCV-620

I have a Furuno FCV-620 (2007 install) on my 21SE. On a recent fishing trip the unit was working fine, then the next time I looked up the screen was blank. I hit the power button and heard a beep like it normall does when powering up, but the screen never came back on. This happened on two or three other attempts to power up the unit. Now there is no beep and the screen does not come on. Anyone with experience with this unit? Any ideas? I have checked all electrical connections and switches.

Does it have an inline fuse? Pull it and check continuity . Replace if bad

Check voltage at the wires with fuse removed

The beep signaled that there was Power there. Good & Clean Power? We don't know?

#1] get spray contact cleaner.

Clean all the connections....Do NOT bend the pins.

Check for good power at the wiring.

After cleaning I add a little bit of dielectric grease to the pins

I own an ancient FCV 600L. Fortunately it still works.
Love those old Furuno's.
