I finally got my Radar installed furuno 1715 and was wondering if I can hook my garmin 498 into it with the Nmea input and maybe my dsc radio at the same time ? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

It was my impression that only the gps is tied in to the radio. I never heard of the radar connected that way. The gps automatically sends the position in case of a mayday. I don't know what the radar would do.

Joe - When I had my Garmin it was tied into my Furuno Radar via NMEA. I no longer have the Garmin, but my Raymarine is now interfaced to the Furuno via NMEA.

I know the dsc radio displays or broad cast your gps location .But i wanted the garmin to show the gps postions of targets on my radar. Is this possible ?
And can I have all three wired together via NMEA and work? If I can't I will wire the dsc to my garmin 498 and the radar to my garmin 276.I have 2 gps units on my 2320.
Thanks for the help,
Joe
