Gasket for forward seating in CC

Has anyone ever sealed the forward seating hatches in a 2100/2300 DVCC? I've poked around for a gasket or something that might seal those compartments to make them actual dry storage and keep water/debris out, but can't seem to find what would work best. Was curious if someone has done this and what they used.

god idea but, I haven't done it.
They make a white weather tape for windows in closed foam type, experiment with one side and leave one non- taped maybe as idea to see if you like it.
I think the sticking power maybe the issue, I can see the tape coming up with the lid. Try putting the tape on the lid rather than in the draining channel of the box.

That was my concern as well, but the lids have a straight edge to them. Nothing really to stick to.
