HIN #

Bought a replacement 2520 yesterday and have a question about the HIN#
The number area was filled and engraved and I was wondering if anyone knows alternate locations for HIN #s
Bought the boat from original Owner who bought it as a boat show special
2520 with 2 steering stations and a cut out transom circa 2001

replacing a 1988 25 foot sport cabin

Ahhhhhhh....Why are you worried about it?

Do the numbers match what is on the title?

Purchased in Delaware a NO Title state from original owner who purchased as a boat show special.

I have been approached by more than one dealer to alter HIN#s to reflect a different model year.

Always refused.

Have reinstalled HIN#s when that area was damaged

Did some theft and fraud work for various insurance companies. Do not expect to find a stolen boat but may be older than the HIN# represents.
