Hours on Engine -

Can you check how many hours are on an outboard if there is not an hour meter?

I have heard you can. Can someone confirm this?

Also looking for a Yamaha mechanic in the Pasadena area.....

Need more info to answer. Year,make,model etc.
The newer motors a tech should be able to plug his computer in and tell you. the older motors no way to tell.
Don't know when change happened.

No can do on an OX66. Only on HPDI and 4-stroke.

As for mechanics, talk to Richard Gerns at Whalertown (Kent Island) or Rich Hutchins at Advance Marine (Shady Side).
