HELP! I have a 98 yamaha250hpSWS EFI. The problem I'm having is she won't stay at idle It will start up in aturn of the key 'but after a minute or so'it will spit and die. high rpms are no problem. This is what has been done so far .all new filters, throttle control valve ,ox sensor ,new fuel, new plugs

Happens to me from time to time...
I just throttle up a bit while she is warming up, and all is good.

I would check the low pressure fuel pumps for leaks. I don't know that this is your problem but they are simple to check and repair. A leak can affect your idle.

My 200hp ox66 does same thing, if it starts with a crappy idle i turn it of and restart it and it runs fine. 8)

Does it just do it once, or does it constantly do it?

If it's a consitent problem, sounds to me like you have a fuel line blockage.
