Anyone ever install padding around rear deck? How easy is it and how costly?

Are you referring to coming pads?

FYI:

Here's a quote from last MAY for Seadek products coamings or gunwhale bolsters ... these were 2-tone, black base with tan top, see a post by 'Sully' for his bolster install.

Thanks for your interest in SeaDek. Please see the quote you requested below. Beach Sand will get dirty faster than our dark colors but it is very easy to clean and maintain. If you would like to place an order you can contact our toll free number below. Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

4 @ 60"x4" $350.00
1 @ 74"x4" $110.00

Thank you,
Susan Wilson

Or, you can have them fabricated by your local canvas shop.
An easy job for any decent shop.

I went with seadek pads I will post some pics when I get home from work don't have them on yet waiting for a good day should have them on this week

I cleaned area good with acetone
Then had myself and one other hold in place then penciled ends on the boat
Using a friend to hold in place I peeled back about 3" stuck in place
Then fold back paper all the way down and pressed in place
have someone help you hold it straight once stuck its stuck
Its not hard you just have to make sure you hold everything straight

I put it on my cooler and jump seats too had on all last year love it!

Wow thats really easy. I,m wondering how long it holds up through weather and washing. I had on my other boat but they were screwed in.

The product is and was made for Decking original so I'm thinking they will hold up real well

I have the sea dek 5" wide on my contender. They are nice and very durable but not very soft, in fact they are hard as hell. easy install and they look good , still beat smashing my knees into fiberglass.

That's what I thought, seems like a waste to use that HardA$$ Seadeck on Bolsters.

I would have to go with this quote
They are not cushy like the cushions
However when they are sat against they don't get worn out on the tops
And when your knee is against them for 5 min or more as the quote say not as hard as fiberglass
And your leg or knee doesn't slip around
I think they will stay good looking a whole lot longer too
That said I guess it like a firm or soft mattress ..just a preference :)
