In December I had the bottom of my boat soda blasted. I plan to apply the Interlux barrier coat before I apply Micron CSC. Have any of you done this project? I am concerned about sanding prior to applying the Barrier Coat. Should I sand by hand our use a palm sander? I welcome your advice.

My yard did mine as they don't allow certain DIY procedures... and that was one of them.

They used a DA sander to give the hull 'tooth', then washed it with solvent to remove any release agent that might have been left.

Barrier coat (2 coats I believe), then 2 coats of Interlux Micron CSC.

So far, so good!
