New toy for this season, always wanted to try this out, had a similar setup on my dad's old 30 CrisCraft tournament.

Got a 14" LED light bar off eBay, didn't like the brackets that came with it so fabbed up some custom ones out of aluminum plate.

I'll get some pics tonight of it lit up.

A few pictures from tonight. The pics really don't show how much light it throws.

First pic is just the light on my radar tower radar on.

Second pic is the light on my radar mast which reflects off the rails and deck and the light bar under the pulpit.

3rd is just the light bar on, pics don't show it but it throws a lot of light with no glare off the rails or deck. Jury is out to how long it will last in the marine environment, but I souped it up a little. We'll see.

I know exactly what you mean...trying to take pix's that show how much light is thrown, never photo's well.

Nice job on the brackets....Very Nice.....Did you get a reading on amp draw?

No measurement on amp draw yet, I matched the wire size on the light 14awg with a 16 foot run, took a shot it would work.

Thanks on the brackets. I was happy how they came out. The ones with the light didn't quite fit under the pulpit and made it stick down too far.

Illegal ... if shown/directed at another boat, as FYI ...

Saw one of those lights (or one close to it) in the grille of a newer Ford pickup about a week ago.
That thing was bright!

Ha! My Floundering lights WILL blind you.

The fronts are 400watt Mh and the sides are 175watt mh

2000 Honda powers them.

Here we were using it last year to light the night to work on the Parker.

That's a great idea for mounting and the brackets are first rate. These new LED's are really opening up different options for lighting. I like how the bow pulpit acts as a natural deflector for the glare also. Nicely done IMO.

Here are a few more pics. FWIW.

That thing should make day marks and other ATON's stand out like a beacon.
