Made a striper trip to the mouth of the bay this weekend. While underway, my livewell continued to fill and overflow with water. I came to a stop and removed a icebag from the well. would this bag create a natural syphon and cause the well to fill? I did not have livewell switch turned on.

I had the same problem once this summer. If your raw water valve and livewell stopcock are open you will scoop water into the livewell while underway. The icebag plugs the drain and it fills and overflows. In my case, it was funny since my buddy was sitting on it and had wet pants the rest of the day.

What Wayne said ... You can close the seacock below deck, or there should be a valve on the livewell spout.
