The installer put the Garmin GPSMAP 1243 in the helm of my 2015 2120 yesterday and was planning to install the Garmin Panoptix PS51-TH thru-hull forward looking transducer with it. It is in stock at Garmin. The boat currently has the factory installed transom transducer and I want to upgrade with this addition.
He texted this am saying he wasn't sure where to mount the Panoptix unit and is asking for advice/suggestions. Does anyone have suggestions with this installation. Or other units you would suggest?
I plan to take the boat to Beaver Island, MI at the end of the month so, unfortunately, he is under the gun to get something that is in stock and this is his 1st Parker install. Thank you!
