Pulled the R & R yesterday (sad day)(winter flounder season in 93 days-
but who's counting?)
Yamaha certified technician said that YAMAHA manual says to change engine oil every 100 hours, but to change the oil filter every 200. Does this sound right?

I do both once a season including fuel filter and most times lower unit oil. I always at least inspect lower unit oil and level.
Every third or so, water pump and thermostats
I now have a little over 600 hours on a 2003 f225 and am keeping a close eye on the timing belt as well.

I've had a yamie f150 and a f115 and I change everything at least
every 100 hours and most of the time its usually 60-80 hours....

I also had a opti 150 and would change the lower unit on the same
schedule...
