Doing a rebuild project on my 1992 Parker 25’ sport cabin. Original hydraulic helm is mounted on the diagonal angle. Not really anywhere to flush mount the bigger chart plotter I’m installing. See attached photo of my previous hydraulic helm on diagonal surface. Going to an electric steer by wire Yamaha helm.

Looking at the newer Parker helm is mounted straight vertical. See attached picture of a newer Parker mounted vertical w Simrad electronics.

New Yamaha steer by wire could be mounted on the diagonal or vertical surface. Vertical lower surface would leave room to flush mount all the electronics on the diagonal surface.

Anyone seen this done on the older Parker dash? We are refacing with acrylic of a sheets so can go anywhere, blank slate.

Let me know any thoughts of if anyone has seen this done. Wondering if to close to captains seat, or two low?

Relocated to the vertical surface. Came out good. Made room for electronics, feels good where he’ll is now.
