Hey Guys!

I have a 2320 with a 225 Yamaha on it. I am curious as to the fuel consumption. I know the newer models have a floscan gage that gives GPH. If I am going 3800 rpm and I am doing 20 miles an hour (what I was doing today) how many gallons an hour am I burning? Thanks in advance.

Pat

all depends on your weight and conditions. i have had this hull with the f225 and the f250. the most efficient running RPM is 75 percent of max which is about 4500 rpm. moderately loaded i get about 2.6-2.9 mpg. the absolute worst mileage i have been able to get max weight, bad conditions, WOT etc. is 2.2 mpg.

I agree with GrouperJim on optimal speed-my sweet spot is right in the 4,400-4,800 range. I get slightly lower mpg-likely because I have a tower on mine. I have a similar bait set-up-40 gallons.

Burn is also very affected by sea state. Pushing over a ground swell has a significant effect.
