I got tired of looking at the rusted bucket look of the 'stock' light Parker installs. I eyeballed it and ordered a new bitchen LED light from marine beam.com. I even opted for the fancy titanium nitride finish so it will hopefully hold up a lot longer. (It's a brass look, and the coating is apparently super durable and is used on drill bits) Instead of the red, low light, I went with blue, which is a cool change. (Pun intended). I was even stoked the screw holes lined up exactly!

Super easy install. Thumbs up for the product. The $69 greatly improved my small cabin's appearance and functionality.

I didn't see the one you found. I like that it's an exact match of the old one size and mount hole wise. I felt the same about the old one and replaced mine too. I went with a white plastic hoping to avoid the corrosion issue.

I was one click away from ordering that one too... For whatever reason I bought the other one... And I was thinking about the plastic finish as well.

I like the soft glow that light casts.

We liked the blue vs the red also. I replaced the copit light bulbs with red LED's last year and changed them to blue. Now I think I may just go ahead and change the whole light unit instead of just the bulbs. They are a little more efficient. Then the only non LED's I'll have will be the spreader. That's on the list too.

Those blue lights in your cock pit.....did you just remove the stock lights and replace them with the blue led? What kind of hole was there when the stock light was removed?

The current lights just require taking the 2 screws out of the current light and changing the bulbs. See this link for the replacement bulbs. This is a very easy job. 5 minutes per side tops.

I'm probably going to switch out the whole light unit this year though with a purpose built LED unit. As far as the hole size the original light is mounted in, I can't quite remember how big it is. I think it's about 1". I'm hoping that the Lumatec will just fit without additional drilling but if not, it's not a big deal. Hope this helps.

I got the high end dome from marine beam after reading this post . It has already corroded. Also the bulb is not seaworthy it only sits in the holder on 2 pins and nothing holds it in. A few waves and it is out. . Also it came with wrong bulb . Took 2 weeks to get the right bulb . Beware of that site.
