You need to know windlass make and model
Then download manual and check the specs. 8 plait lays better in the locker than 3 ply. I have 400 ft and plenty of room for more on 94 2330 with Lewmar Horizon 500 windlass, and 25 feet of chain. Amorhervt option is contact Lewmar

I have a Lewmar Profish 1000 and I have 400" of 1/2" line.
