Haven't used the boat in a while so decided to burn some fuel and go for a boat ride while kids were in school...
Problem.... While running (4100 rpm 27mph) boat comes to a complete stop in 60' of water. I put the throttle to natural and shut the motor off. After inspecting the surrounding for debree , just in case I hit something , I started the motor. Motor started right up but I couldn't get it in gear.. Throttle shifted forward and reverse but would not engage. While getting towed in i wiggled the throttle and it felt tight/sticky.. Any thought? Ideas to what could have happened?

Didnt have time to look, had to pick up the kids from school, but will be going back over the weekend to see.. So any ideas? Any suggestion as to where i should start looking?
