The speckled trout season has started off great. I fished Rudee Inlet three times and did very well casting small jigs on light tackle. These fish are still pretty small 13" - 15" and are only 1 year old according to the VMRC folks but they are very fun to catch until the "big gators" move in in November. We picked up close to 100 fish last Tuesday between my buddy and I! We wanted to fly cast but the winds weren't cooperative enough.
