The tail-lights on my Suburban were looking a little hazy so I purchased a 3M re-vitalizing kit from the local auto parts store. It consists of a drill fixture/ pad, a wide variety of polishing paper (with very strong velcro-type backing), a polishing pad and machine glaze. It worked really well to get the tail-lights back to showroom condition. My boat's compass had some light scratches on the glass (maybe glasstic) so I figured I would give it a shot. I only used the polishing pad and some glazing, attached to my cordless drill and in a few minutes my compass looked like new. I went on to hit a few spots on my washboards w/ great results as well.
