Here goes. Possible proto-type power train. 1986 Sou'Wester 25' has the following: 6cyl Cummins(6tba) turbo , Transmission(Velvet drive I think) and a pre-alpha outdrive. Prop is 19 1/2 X 21p Left. I am trying to pin down the outdrive because I need to replace the upper at least, probably both cases or, if possible, replace outdrive. I will be pulling motor to paint and replace whatever it needs. Has anyone heard of this combination? Drive # is 618242, Transom Plate is A310516. Can't find these # anywhere. Thanks in advance for your help. Bill

I can't help you with your question, but I would ask that you photo-document what you are doing and post it in the "Projects" section.
Photos might catch someones experienced eye and aid in your process.

My brother was able to get parts for his older out drive from E Basic Power.com. They seem to have a lot for io's of all makes.

Thanks, I will post in "projects" . Learned that the Drives are 1985 TR or TRS.

Konrad makes a direct replacement for the TR/TRS drives. It is very robust.
