Tips on installing in-hull transducer on a 2320

Hey guys. This is my first in-hull transducer install. I have an Airmar P79 600 watt ducer. Where is a good place to mount it? I’m guessing near the batteries maybe? Thanks.

Here is mine on my 2003 2320 sport cabin with full transom

Is that a thru-hull? The P79 is an in-hull. Maybe I have this wrong?

Yes, it's a shoot through. I've never installed one before. Thanks for the photo though. 8)
