I found a nice used trailer to put our new to us 2110 walkaround on, however it is a bit larger than needed. The boat sits great on the bunks and is well placed over the axles with it sitting about 3' back from the winch post. This is where the modification will be needed as the winch post can't move any further back with the current placement of the first cross member and end of the tounge. I want to add another cross member to the trailer further back and just slide the tongue further back. Seems pretty simple, but is there any risk of affecting how the trailer tows by shortening the tongue length forward of the I-beams? I'll follow this up with a picture of the setup this weekend when we take the boat out. Thank in advance!
