I have one trailer light that is deader than dead and the screw to the lens is so rusted I can't get it out. The nuts holding the unit on are rusted so bad a box-end wrench won't budge them...the nuts keep crumbling off pieces. May have to use the dremel tool and cut them off.
I purchased a set of LED lights today from Tri-State. Should I replace all the wiring at the same time I replace the tail lights and amber side marker lights? The easy way out would be to cut the old lights off and splice in the new ones with heat-shrink style butt connectors. The trailer is a 2002 model and I've not touched the wiring at all in 7 years.
Thoughts?
