I'm planning on getting a trailer for my 2520 Sport Cabin to use primarily between CT and Cape Cod. I know that you need to get a special form to tow an oversize boat, and I'm wondering if any of you have any experience doing this? For instance, if I take the boat from CT to the Cape would I have to get permits from CT, RI and MA?

Just a shot in the dark here...

Thanks!

Have been there, got that t-shirt...multiple times. Check the towing laws in the states you want to transit for guidance. Some want banners, some want blinking lights, some want flags, and some want combinations of all three. There is a thread here on "show your tow vehicle" (or something like that) that shows me towing a 25' Parker.

Locate your permit office (hopefully they are now on the web), and get the permits for the dates you want to tow.

Once you know the rules and the ropes, it is a piece of cake.
