I'm looking at a 2520 Sport with an I/O. Someone told my son to watch out for transom rot on I/O's.Anyone ever heard anything like this or an I/O owner had any problems. The boat is a 2000.

It always good to look for water intrusion into the hull on any boat before buying, any good surveyor can handle that with a moisture detector and a mallet. transoms are normally the worst as it usually has the most penetrations to leak, especially outboards. But don't let that thought stop you from pursuing the boat. Good luck Mike
