I'm installing, my new 2014 parker 2320 pilot house, a Standard Horizion GX2200 Marine VHF/GPS/AIS system. My question is where is the proper place to install my antenna? I have a radar unit mounted in the center rear on the top of my pilot house.
I have been told to use a 5 foot or a 8 foot antenna. Need some expert advise.

Thanks

8', starboard rear quarter, VHF antennas work off "line of sight", higher is better!

Thanks for the info. When you say starboard rear quarter - What is the distance from my raymarine radar dome should I be? That is located at the rear center roof of the pilot house

Thanks
